With recent roster moves around the trade deadline, it left the New York Knicks with just 12 guaranteed contracts. That led to Kadeem Allen and Isaiah Hicks called up from Westchester on their G-League contracts, but they can only stick for 45 days on the main roster.
They had room to fill those empty roster spots, to give players an opportunity before the season ends. One avenue for this was their G-League squad, with a handful of talents having productive runs in Upstate New York.
Well, the Knicks indeed dipped into Westchester, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
