The NBA is a superstar-driven league. The New York Knicks might experience that in 2019-20 if they sign players like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Golden State, Cleveland, Miami, Dallas and the Lakers have all won with stars leading the way this past decade, and top names continue to join forces to form these “superteams.”
However, any NBA roster goes beyond just two or three players. Just look at what the Warriors did to the Portland Trail Blazers. Kevon Looney, Alonzo McKinnie and Quinn Cook are not stars. Yet, these were the top contributors aside from Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.
