The New York Knicks have a chance to make noise in 2017-18, but doing so is contingent upon Tim Hardaway Jr. righting the ship. The 25-year-old was signed to a four-year deal worth $71 million during the summer of 2017, but hasn’t yet been able to justify the investment.
Hardaway was never going to silence his critics over the span of just three regular season games, but his early season inconsistency has been a devastating blow to New York’s odds of winning.
Hardaway is currently shooting 24.3 percent from the field and 22.7 percent from beyond the three-point line.
