RJ Barrett, as expected, received the spotlight when the New York Knicks selected him No. 3 overall. He was christened as one of the next NBA stars in high school, before joining Duke for the most recent college basketball season.
It took until the back-half of the second round for the Knicks to pick again, due to Phil Jackson, five years earlier, trading what became the No. 31 overall selection. Due to a separate deal, the organization had the No. 55 pick, but the front office traded up to No. 47, taking Ignas Brazdeikis.
