The summer of 2012 saw the New York Knicks return previous players to the team. It started with the trade for Marcus Camby, who was their center 10 years prior. He joined to contribute to a team that just made the postseason for the second consecutive year.
However, the re-acquisitions did not end. The Knicks worked a deal with the Portland Trail Blazers for players with a more recent history with the organization.
What the Knicks traded
Four players headlined Portland’s return package. It started with Jared Jeffries, who had returned to the team in 2011, one year after he was sent to the Houston Rockets.
