Look, nobody wants to be the bearer of bad news in relation to the New York Knicks. We all want this 3-0 preseason start to mean something, like that the Knicks are back, that they’re going to make the playoffs, or at least be competitive.
It’s not true.
Before Saturday’s games, four teams stood tall at 3-0 this preseason: the Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, Philadelphia 76ers, and your New York Knicks. Three of those four teams are likely bound for the playoffs, but that doesn’t make it an indicator of regular season success.
Still, it’s better than the Knicks’ 0-5 preseason mark from a year ago.
