New York Knicks: Skimming through the last playoff appearance

The last time the New York Knicks made the playoffs, this roster was led by high priced veterans and older players. That happened in 2012-13, when Mike Woodson was still the head coach and one year before Phil Jackson took over the front office.

Carmelo Anthony was this team’s figurehead, averaging 28.7 points per game in one of his best seasons. Tyson Chandler provided fine play under the hoop, but it was JR Smith who became the “Robin” off the bench, as the sixth man, for 18.1 points per game.
