New York Knicks Sign Undrafted Free Agent Ron Baker

The New York Knicks completed the 2016 NBA Draft without making a single move. Within minutes of the draft’s conclusion, however, team president Phil Jackson struck with a signing that can be fairly classified as intriguing.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Knicks have signed undrafted free agent shooting guard Ron Baker to a partially guaranteed contract.

Baker has the potential to make the main roster in 2016-17.

It’s not entirely surprising that Baker wasn’t selected at the 2016 NBA Draft. A small-school star, he carries the stigma of being a college specialist whose game won’t translate from the Wichita State Shockers to the Association.
