New York Knicks: Reasons to believe in Allonzo Trier

Allonzo Trier entered the New York Knicks as a two-way player without momentum and absent from the 2018 NBA Draft. Everyone passed on him, but an opportunity arose soon after to make an impression.

So far, so good for Trier, to say the least. His performances have become the bright spot for New York’s preseason games, even at a 3-1 record entering Friday’s preseason finale against the Brooklyn Nets.

Before the Oct. 17 opener against the Atlanta Hawks, the Knicks have a decision to make on Trier. They can send him to the G League on the two-way deal or begin the clock on the allotted 45 days.
