Shortly after the 2019 NBA Draft, it will mark two years since Phil Jackson was fired as president of basketball operations. Three controversial years highlighted his tenure, including a public feud with Carmelo Anthony and revamping the roster with questionable contracts, including Joakim Noah‘s.
The draft was not as disparaging as everything else for Jackson. He found who seemed like New York’s next face of the franchise and a fine role player. Other picks were off the mark, though, leaving a mixed history.
Six draft picks were made under Jackson. Two were first-round picks and four were in the second round.
