The New York Knicks and Phil Jackson have experienced a tumultuous marriage during the three seasons they’ve been together. New York has missed the playoffs in every one of those seasons, but it’s also built the foundation for a solid future.
Though many speculated that the Knicks could soon depart with Jackson, it appears as though he’s in it for the long haul.
Jackson signed a five-year contract with the Knicks during the summer of 2014. Owner James Dolan included an option in the third year that enabled both Jackson and the team to walk away from the contract.
