The New York Knicks are in the process of scheduling interviews with candidates to fill the current vacancy at head coach. It’s a delicate situation, as the Knicks are preparing to hire a third full-time head coach since Kristaps Porzingis was drafted in 2015.
Some of the names that have surfaced as targets in the coaching hunt are unsurprising, but there are outside-the-box options whom the organization should consider.
Thus far, the Knicks have scheduled interviews with David Blatt, David Fizdale, Mark Jackson, and Jerry Stackhouse. New York has also been granted permission to meet with Mike Woodson, who’s currently an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Clippers.
