One of the biggest moments in the history of the New York Knicks franchise came on May 8, 1970. For those who don’t know that’s the date of the famous Willis Reed game and today is the 47 year anniversary.
Reed returned for Game 7 of the NBA Finals, despite a torn thigh muscle, against the Los Angeles Lakers and inspired the Knicks to a 113-99 win.
Even though he only scored four points the Knicks captain logged 27 significant minutes and made his impact felt.
