The NBA season is set to begin, and the New York Knicks are shoring up their roster with some final cuts. Following training camp and the preseason, the organization didn’t make any surprising decisions.
According to Ian Begley of ESPN, the Knicks waived veteran point guard Trey Burke and UDFAs Nigel Hayes and Xavier Rathan-Mayes.
The team was expected to waive Burke and send him to the G-league. Hayes logged just 30 minutes and posted only 6 points and 3 rebounds. Rathan-Mayes was on the court for 25 minutes and only scored 2 points.
