After a few successful seasons to open the new millennium, the New York Knicks started to flip into what became a decade-long slump. Poor draft, poor decisions and poor rosters created disappointing results.
The 2002 NBA Draft was different, as the Knicks had the No. 7 pick, they traded it to the Denver Nuggets with Marcus Camby and Mark Jackson for Antonio McDyess, Frank Williams and a 2003 second-round pick that became Maciej Lampe.
