Normally, Michael Beasley would be tethered to the bench during a New York Knicks game, cheering on his teammates and wondering if an opportunity would ever come his way.
His moment finally arrived on Saturday night.
With Enes Kanter and Kristaps Porzingis both sitting out with injuries, Beasley was pressed into action against one of his former teams: The Houston Rockets.
The small forward took full advantage of his rare start, posting 30 points and eight rebounds in 36 minutes. Unfortunately, the Knicks ultimately lost 117-102 to one of the NBA’s best teams.
