Lance Thomas became a fan favorite during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 NBA regular seasons. His effort was never questioned, nor was his commitment to defense or his versatility on the offensive end of the floor.
Unfortunately for the New York Knicks, Thomas suffered an injury on Sunday, Jan. 15 that could keep him out for the foreseeable future.
Thoams suffered a head injury during the Knicks’ 116-101 loss to the Toronto Raptors. Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas caught Thomas with an inadvertent elbow to the face that sidelined him for the remainder of the game.
According to Al Iannazzone of Newsday, Thomas has been ruled out indefinitely and will be fitted for a protective mask because of his fractured left orbital bone.
