The New York Knicks have a rising star who can only be described as one of the NBA’s true anomalies. A 7’3″ phenom with athleticism and a 3-point stroke that no player his size has ever possessed before, Kristaps Porzingis has earned his nickname as, “The Unicorn.”
While unnecessary issues continue to take center stage in New York, Porzingis is planning on having a basketball summer in Europe.
Porzingis turned down the opportunity to help Latvia reach the the 2016 Summer Olympics in favor of training with his New York coaches. As tensions mount and the future of the Knicks is called into question, however he appears to be more open to the possibility of playing abroad.
