Latvia was unable to begin EuroBasket with a victory, but Porzingis looked brilliant against one of the best teams in the world.
Latvia’s first game of the event was against Serbia, which has returned to its status as something of an international powerhouse. Bogdan Bogdanovic justified the hype with a 30-point performance in an impressive 92-82 Serbian victory.
