With all the withdrawals from Team USA’s FIBA World Cup roster last month, it opened opportunities for others. One of them, New York Knicks forward Julius Randle, was invited. He joined Mitchell Robinson, who joined the select team.
However, Randle joined the long line of NBA players to drop out of Team USA before training camp starts, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, due to a family issue.
The Knicks were set to have three representatives earlier this week in the FIBA World Cup, but RJ Barrett also left Team Canada due to an injury.
