For close to 40 years, John Andariese was the voice of the New York Knicks. Andariese and Marv Albert were as synonymous with the Knicks as the orange and blue jerseys, providing incomparable coverage on both radio and television.
Tragically, it was announced on Monday, Mar. 13 that the legendary Andariese had passed away at 78 years of age.
Andariese, a Brooklyn native, will forever live on as the voice of the Knicks. There have been others who have since made their name, but Andarieese was a titan of the New York sports scene and one of the original voices of Knicks basketball.
