New York Knicks center Joakim Noah has endured a devastating fall from grace. Long heralded as one of the most respected players in the NBA, Noah’s reputation changed during what was a forgettable and injury-plagued 2016-17 season.
On Wednesday, April 26, Noah took the first step towards redeeming himself in the eyes of the New York masses.
Noah signed a four-year deal worth $72 million during the summer of 2016, but failed to justify the investment. He appeared in just 46 games and was on the court for a mere 22.6 minutes per contest.
After missing 36 games and sitting for more minutes than he played when he was healthy, Noah underwent surgery to repair his lingering issue.
