No leader is clear of blame for the debacle that’s been the 2016-17 NBA regular season. The New York Knicks entered the current campaign with postseason hype and expectations, but have accumulated a record of 27-44 through 71 games.
Though there are a number of individuals who deserve blame, it’s the head coach who has stepped up and taken accountability for the disappointing season.
There was an understandably high level of excitement when the Knicks announced the decision to hire Jeff Hornacek to fill the vacancy at head coach. He’d experienced an intriguing level of success with the Phoenix Suns, but thus far, that’s failed to translate to New York.
