New York Knicks: Henry Ellenson’s small window of opportunity

Surprise contributors have consumed this New York Knicks season. Even at 13 wins, they found unexpected play from castoff Emmanuel Mudiay, second-round pick Mitchell Robinson, undrafted free agent Allonzo Trier, and veteran journeyman Noah Vonleh.

Tuesday’s win against the Orlando Magic featured another unlikely performer contribute significantly, and maybe the biggest castoff of them all.

Henry Ellenson joined the Knicks on a 10-day contract earlier this month which will expire in early March. He found an opportunity after the Detroit Pistons waived him, ending two-plus unceremonious years with the team that drafted him 18th overall in 2016.
