The New York Knicks have a decision on the horizon that will define the future of the organization. With injuries and limitations counteracting his strengths, the Knicks will need to determine if Derrick Rose is worth re-signing.
Though Rose’s recent knee injury may call his future into question, the Knicks aren’t entirely opposed to the idea of re-signing the 2011 NBA MVP.
Rose will turn 29 years of age on October 4, which projects to be roughly three weeks before the start of the 2017-18 NBA regular season. His age, as well as his injury history, could prevent the three-time All-Star from signing a long-term contract.
