Frank Ntilikina playing meaningful minutes might be a sight for sore eyes. His sophomore season with the New York Knicks appeared to start that way, before head coach David Fizdale benched him for trouble shooting the basketball less than two months into 2018-19. It was disparaging for a player 18 months passed his selection as the No. 8 overall pick of the draft.
The rest of that season found Ntilikina either on the bench, in a limited role or hurt, making it a wash. His decreased shooting percentages were still nothing to appreciate, and he found no improvement in points, rebounds and assists, but opportunities were also limited.
