The New York Knicks entered Friday night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers to break a losing streak of eight. They won just two games in December, but a LeBron James-less opponent opened an opportunity at the Staples Center.
However, amid the matchup, the Knicks lost Frank Ntilikina to an injury, depleting their rotation depth.
Per the Knicks, Ntilikina suffered a strained left ankle in the first quarter. X-rays were negative, but he was ruled out for the rest of the night. He played just one minute and grabbed one rebound.
Frank Ntilikina (strained left ankle) will not return to tonight’s game at LA.
