- Ned Irish: 1946-57
- Fred Podesta: 1957-60, 1961-65
- Vince Boryla: 1960-61
- Eddie Donovan: 1965-70, 1975-82
- Red Holzman: 1970-75 – The legendary head coach also ruled over personnel decisions for five years.
- Dave DeBusschere: 1982-86 – DeBusschere moved from playing to leading the front office.
