In searching for a point guard, the New York Knicks acquired Derrick Rose from the Chicago Bulls as part of a multi-player trade. This sent the former NBA MVP to a new destination after years of battling injuries, which saddled his athleticism and kept him off the court more often than on.
Rose, a Chicago native, was forced to leave the team that selected him first overall in 2008, so one could only imagine his reaction to changing addresses.
Well Stadium, who filmed a documentary based on Rose’s NBA career, actually filmed his candid thoughts on the trade to the Knicks as he received the phone call from his agent BJ Armstrong.
