New York Knicks: Derrick Rose Aiming To Play 82 Games

The New York Knicks made a risky investment during the 2016 NBA offseason. Team president Phil Jackson traded Jose Calderon, Jerian Grant, and Robin Lopez to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Derrick Rose, Justin Holiday, and a second-round draft pick.

Rose’s injury history is checkered, but he’s made strides over the past two seasons and is looking to complete the recovery process in 2016-17.

Rose missed 27 games in 2011-12, the entire 2012-13 season, and played just 10 games in 2013-14. Rose played 51 games in 2014-15 and 66 in 2015-16, which has set the stage for his current goal.
