The New York Knicks have endured their fair share of injuries. Dennis Smith Jr. joined the list of players earlier this month, with a back ailment, although its extent was never revealed or how much time he would miss.
According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, Smith underwent an MRI for his ailing back, which revealed two disks “out of place” in the lower part of this region.
The protocol is rest and rehab — not surgery — but Smith still practiced on a limited basis, Berman added, and the sophomore point guard is questionable for Thursday’s game against the Toronto Raptors.
