New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose has made incremental improvements to his game throughout the 2016-17 NBA regular season. From the return of his explosive athleticism to the development of his midrange game into a borderline elite tool, the progress has been intriguing.
Unfortunately, Rose’s attempted return to star status encountered another road block in the form of something he’s become all too familiar with: a knee injury.
Rose entered 2016-17 with three major knee injuries in his medical history: a torn left ACL, a torn right meniscus, and a second torn right meniscus. With less than two weeks remaining in the regular season, he added to that devastating list with a torn left meniscus.
