Last spring, Phil Jackson and the New York Knicks were in pursuit of their next head coach. One option was former assistant coach Tom Thibodeau. Another viable candidate was New Yorker Frank Vogel. The Knicks also had the option to stay in house with interim head coach Kurt Rambis
Despite all of these choices, Jackson chose former Suns head coach Jeff Hornacek.
The Zen Master inked Hornacek to a three year deal. Such a move appeared to be a step in the right direction, but the Knicks lack of success in the 2016-17 season has proven otherwise.
