The New York Knicks suffered a tough loss at the hands of the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day. But it wasn’t all bad for Carmelo Anthony.
Anthony showed his charitable side before today’s game when, through Kia and his Garden of Dreams Foundation, he gifted a brand new car to 17-year old fan and cancer patient Jarrell Lara.
But that wasn’t all. Nike released brand-new signature shoes for Anthony and Cleveland Cavaliers stars LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.
Craig Zanon, vice president and general manager of Nike Global Basketball, told Bleacher Report:
Inspired by the excitement around the games, Nike started releasing special colorways and styles for our signature athletes on Christmas years ago.
