A return home for the New York Knicks proved disastrous Wednesday night. They encountered the Utah Jazz, who crushed them in Salt Lake City earlier this season. The rematch was just as lopsided, if not worse.
The Knicks were without Allonzo Trier, Kadeem Allen, Frank Ntilikina, Noah Vonleh and Dennis Smith Jr. due to injury or illness. That left just Emmanuel Mudiay, Damyean Dotson and John Jenkins to patrol the backcourt and weakened an inexperienced frontcourt, sans DeAndre Jordan.
So facing a team seeded higher in the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets, poses a greater obstacle for the Knicks on Friday, March 22.
