Surprisingly, more often than not, the New York Knicks have put up a fight against their opponents … for a stretch. Whether it’s the first half or through three quarters, they maintain some type of competitiveness. Unfortunately for them, it usually leads to a second-half downfall.
Case in point: Monday’s loss to the Charlotte Hornets.
Granted, it was the second of a back-to-back, and the Knicks had to travel from New York, but they fell after staying competitive with this fringe-playoff team.
Once up 75-73, the Hornets went on a 14-0 run to put this game out of reach in the fourth quarter.
