Allonzo Trier joined the New York Knicks on a two-way contract after the 2018 NBA Draft, but never spent one second in the G League. Head coach David Fizdale kept him on the roster for the preseason and into the regular season, leading to successful results among the rest of his class.
There’s no way Trier goes to Westchester now, but on this two-way deal, the Knicks were only able to keep him on the main roster for 45 days, before having to send him to the G League or converting this contract into an NBA deal.
