Kevin Knox and Mitchell Robinson were expected to take the New York Knicks by storm. Instead, through 23 games, it’s Allonzo Trier, the undrafted free agent from Arizona. He signed a two-way contract after June’s draft.
Trier was praised by head coach David Fizdale during training camp, providing signs that the rookie guard would make the team out of the preseason.
Fizdale followed up on this and, ever since, Trier has remained a steady part of New York’s rotation. He even started three games.
Trier has been a surprise name in an intriguing rookie class.
