As the 2018-19 season winds down, the New York Knicks will face another Western Conference team, the San Antonio Spurs. It’s historically one of the NBA’s most coherent, consistent teams, even though their streak of 50-win seasons ended in 2017-18 and a playoff spot isn’t guaranteed.
With nothing to play for, the Knicks have a difficult road against a team that’s battling to avoid the eighth seed and risking their postseason appearance streak. The Spurs have always been a technically sound team, as well, with head coach Gregg Popovich still at the helm and LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan around to lead the way.
