The New York Knicks will make a high pick in the first round, which contains 30 selections total. The NBA Draft goes beyond that, however, with an extra 30 players able to be chosen in the second round, the not-so-glamorous part of this process.
2018 brought the Knicks Mitchell Robinson, who looks like their most exciting piece entering the offseason. This success is not consistent for NBA teams, but they still look for the next impact player from the bottom of the draft, a la Manu Ginobili and the San Antonio Spurs in 1999.
As of April 20, the Knicks own the 55th overall pick in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft.
