New York Knicks: 2018-19 season created a ‘foundation’ for future success

Few positives describe the 2018-19 season for the New York Knicks. Mitchell Robinson was one of them, and Allonzo Trier‘s rise from undrafted free agent to a contracted NBA player made for a good story. Otherwise, this campaign was highlighted by a franchise-tying 65 losses.

Lance Thomas took a backseat to most of it. While as a veteran leader, he played just 46 of the possible 82 games, whether due to injury early in the season or via coach’s decision over the final three months.

From remaining with the team the full season, however, Thomas liked what he saw from head coach David Fizdale’s Knicks and their “foundation,” as noted in an interview with CBS Local’s DJ Sixsmith (h/t CBS New York):

“The foundation is set,” said in an interview with CBS Local’s DJ Sixsmith.
