SACRAMENTO — One year ago, the Nets began a season-ending turnaround at Golden 1 Center with a win over Sacramento, but a repeat wasn’t in the cards Thursday night. Even though the Kings, who have the worst record in the NBA, rested veteran Zach Randolph, they dominated the paint and pulled out a 116-111 overtime victory over the Nets.
It was the fifth loss in overtime for the Nets this season in as many attempts. They are 2-14 in their past 16 games.
The Nets took a six-point lead into the fourth quarter, but the Kings opened with a 15-3 run, including seven points from Bogdan Bogdanovic, to gain an 88-82 advantage.
