Knicks rookie Allonzo Trier will watch the first round of the NCAA Tournament — and Zion Williamson. But it may all bring back some tough memories of a year ago.
Trier’s red-hot Arizona Wildcats were stunned, 89-68, in the first round last March by the mid-major University at Buffalo, a SUNY school. Trier, who scored 10 points on 4-of-15 shooting, and Arizona teammate DeAndre Ayton, the No. 1 pick in the draft by the Suns, didn’t know what hit them.
“I remember it very vividly,” Trier told The Post before he sat out Wednesday’s 137-116 loss to the Jazz with a calf strain.
