The Philadelphia 76ers gave Tony Wroten the worst—or best, depending on who you ask—Christmas present possible as an NBA player. On Christmas Eve, Sam Hinkie and company cut Wroten from the roster.
The New York Knicks are ready to pounce.
Wroten has struggled in his return from the partially torn ACL he suffered in November of 2014. As an explosive 6’6″ combo guard who can slash and facilitate, however, his upside remains as tremendous as any.
According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, the Knicks have expressed interest in signing the 22-year-old free agent to the main roster.
