Michele Roberts isn’t done with her verbal assault against Knicks team president Phil Jackson.
After chastising him for inappropriate comments surrounding Carmelo Anthony at the end of the season — Jackson had said where Anthony would be better off somewhere else during his end-of-the-season press conference — the executive director of the National Basketball Players Association doubled down on her comments.
“I think Phil was deliberately trying to shame ‘Melo out of the city,” Roberts told The Vertical.
It was a comment Roberts believed Jackson would have fined for, going as far as saying she ‘would have bet my paycheck on’ it, but none have been filed.
