It's official: RJ Barrett is a Knick.
The Knicks took the Duke freshman swingman with the third overall pick in the NBA Draft on Thursday night.
The selection became all but certain almost immediately after the draft lottery, when the Knicks ended up with the No. 3 pick despite owning the NBA's worst record at 17-65. This year's class has widely been regarded as a three-star draft with uber-prospect Zion Williamson, Murray State guard Ja Morant and Barrett topping almost every mock draft in that very order.
Williamson, Barrett's teammate at Duke, indeed went No. 1 overall to the New Orleans Pelicans, with Morant going No.
