TORONTO — The Super Bowl has come and gone and the All-Star break has descended upon the NBA. In the past, that meant the NBA season would really start. Fans would take serious notice, having had their fill of Budweiser commercials or elaborate halftime shows, complete with wardrobe malfunctions.

But this season has featured the defending champ Warriors chasing NBA history. A 24-0 start and MVP Stephen Curry, who gets better daily, made folks sit up and notice. Even New Yorkers have been watching and will continue — maybe even after pitchers and catchers report.

The Warriors and their quest to repeat have been the main story.
