The Westchester Knicks took on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers Monday in their fourth contest of the G League season. The Knicks came out strong with a 15-2 run and the Vipers committed seven turnovers in first four minutes and 42 seconds. Rio Grande Valley rebounded and went 27-12 the rest of the quarter. The Knicks cut their deficit to single digits at the half and tried to claw their way back.
Every time the Knicks made a run, the Vipers counted that and distanced themselves from their opponent. James Young and Ignas Brazdeikis scored a few baskets during that third quarter run, while Armoni Brooks totaled eight points in a two minute stretch.
