On Monday it became even more apparent to me what Kristaps Porzingis and his brother/agent Janis wanted from the New York Knicks while watching a portion of his Dallas Mavericks introductory press conference.
As you can see in the video below, Mavs’ head coach Rick Carlisle went out of his way to feed the ego of Porzingis and his brother by saying that Janis is an important part of their team now.
In my years of covering the NFL and now the Knicks, I’ve never seen a team go out of their way to mention a player’s agent like this.
