Marcus Morris downplaying his early-season Knicks slump

BOSTON — Marcus Morris isn’t worried about his wayward shot or his ailing knee.

Knicks coach David Fizdale admitted Morris, 30, is “no spring chicken,” but the team’s new forward said to expect his productivity to rise soon. Morris has battled knee tendinitis recently.

“Is that what he said?” Morris asked when relayed the “spring chicken’’ remark. “S–t, man. I don’t think it’s affecting me at all. I’m missing, man. It ain’t going to be long. I’ll tell you that.

“I wouldn’t call it a slump. I would say I was missing. What we played four games in seven days, tendinitis, it’s a little sore.
